Prayer: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act 1971,To punish the Contemnors/ Respondents 1 to 3 for the Willful disobedience of the Order dated 26-02-2024 passed in WP(MD) No.416 of 2024 by this Honourable High Court and render justice

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble P.VELMURUGAN, J.) Challenging the notice dated 16.12.2023 issued by the 3rd respondent seeking to demolish the unauthorized construction made by the writ petitioner, the writ petitioner filed W.P(MD)No.416 of 2024 and this Court by order dated 26.02.2024 quashed the said notice on the ground of violation of principles of natural justice with a direction to the respondents to initiate all further proceedings after providing opportunity to the writ petitioner as well as the 5th respondent and complete the same within a period of twelve weeks. Alleging disobedience of the said order, the 5th respondent in the writ petition has filed this contempt petition. 2.

Pursuant to the issuance of statutory notice, the contemnors are present before this Court.

The learned Additional Advocate General would submit that pursuant to the order of this Court, the Tahsildar, Kandarvakottai, has passed an order dated 12.11.2025 after affording due opportunity to the petitioner as well as the 5th respondent in the writ petition and thereafter issued a show cause notice to the father of the writ petitioner dated 12.11.2025.

In view of the above submission, the Contempt Petition is closed for the present. The respondents are directed to proceed further to comply with the order of this Court within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The personal appearance of the contemnors is dispensed with. Sub Application is closed.
