ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the second respondent police not to harass the petitioner under guise of enquiry without following due process of law.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that on the complaint given against the petitioner by one Rajamani, the respondent police is subjecting the petitioner to harassment. Hence, this petition came to be filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner is acting as an agent for arranging employment abroad. The defacto complainant had approached the petitioner for securing a job by handing over his passport and cash. After receiving the passport and cash, the petitioner neither arranged the employment nor submitted the passport to the appropriate passport authorities. During an enquiry conducted on 23.11.2025, the petitioner had undertaken to return both the passport and the cash to the defacto complainant. However, the petitioner has not complied with this undertaking till date. 2/4

4. Recording the aforesaid submissions, this criminal original petition stands closed. However, considering the apprehension of the petitioner, this Court directs the respondent police not to harass the petitioner any further. 22.01.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Sm TO:-
