ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to register a case based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 16.04.2017.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is running a book shop in the name and style of "Kamal Book Centre" at Thiruvadanai, Ramanathapuram District. He further submitted that one Selvaraj has purchased note books worth about Rs.2,00,000/- on 02.06.2014 and subsequently, he did not repay the said amount and when the petitioner demanded to repay the said amount, the proposed accused persons have threatened the petitioner with dire consequence and also used filthy language. Hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the second respondent on 16.04.2017, but so far, no action has been taken. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that after receipt of the Complaint C.S.R.No.120 of 2017 has been issued and the enquiry is still pending.

4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the complaint is pending for past 11 months, the second respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register a case and proceed further in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the aforesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
