O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed seeking mandamus directing to issue passport to the petitioner based upon his application and his representation dated 05.01.2026.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Cr.No.45/2020 on the file of the second respondent police station, which has culminated in filing of charge sheet in P.R.C.No.42 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Radhapuram and the same is yet to be committed to the concerned court.

3. A perusal of allegation made in FIR reveals that a quarrel has arisen between two groups with regard to the interaction with a lady. 2/4

4. Considering the fact that so far, the criminal case has not been taken cognizance, the first respondent is directed to pass orders on the application filed by the petitioner within four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the said observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
