Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. 2.Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to the respondents is dispensed with.

3.The petitioner is said to have filed a private complaint before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai. His grievance is that it is not being numbered. I cannot direct the Jurisdictional Magistrate to take cognizance of the offences. But I can definitely direct that it should not be indefinitely be kept pending, either cognizance should be taken or the complaint should be returned. This exercise one way or the other shall be concluded within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
