2019, on the file of the District Collector and District Magistrate, Pudukottai District, Pudukottai the 2nd Respondent herein, branding the detenu by name Chinnavar @ Selvakumar, son of Shanmugam aged 45 years, as "Drug Offender", who is now confined in Central Prison, Trichy and quash the impugned order of detention by setting aside the same and set him at liberty by producing him before this Court.

(Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.) This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the wife of the detenu, namely, Chinnavar @ Selvakumar, son of Shanmugam, aged 45 years, challenging the detention order in P.D.O.No.92/2019, dated 29.12.2019, passed by the second respondent, branding him as "DrugOffender" as contemplated under Section 2(e) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents, by producing a copy of G.O.Rt.No.800, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XIV) Department, dated 17.02.2020, would state that the impugned detention order has been revoked.
3. Recording the above submissions, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
