In Crime No.190 of 2014 : Respondents/Complainant PRAYER: Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code praying to direct the second respondent herein to expedite and complete the investigation in Crime No.190 of 2014 on the file of the second respondent police, within a prescribed time frame.

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this petition under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking a direction to the second respondent herein to expedite and complete the investigation in Crime No.190 of 2014 and file a final report, within a stipulated time.

2. Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side.

3. The learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) on instructions submitted that the investigation is completed and now they are awaiting for handwriting expert's opinion and hence, he prays for two months time to complete the investigation and file a final report.

4. Considering the submissions made on both sides and also considering the fact that the case has been registered on

27.03.2014 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 420, and 506(ii) IPC and according to the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), they are awaiting for handwriting expert's opinion, this Court is inclined to grant two months time to the second respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report.

5. Accordingly, the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.190 of 2014 and file a final report, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
