ORDER

This petition has been filed to register a case based on the complaint given by the petitioner, dated 04.09.2017. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that on 25.08.2017 at about 05.45 pm., when the petitioner was riding a bike bearing Registration No.TN-76-AA 0759, through Alangulam Main Road along with his wife, at that time, the Sub-Inspector of Police namely., Umamaheswari has intercepted the petitioner and instructed him to wear the helmet. When the petitioner tried to wear the helmet, the said Sub-Inspector of Police demanded RC Book and other documents relating to the bike and the petitioner also handed over all the documents, but thereafter, the said Sub-Inspector Police abused the petitioner by calling his caste name in a public view and also assaulted the petitioner and his wife and hence, a complaint was lodged on 04.09.2017. but sofar, no action has been taken. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) has submitted that the enquiry is still pending before the first respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Considering the fact that the complaint is pending for the past six months, the first respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register a case and proceed in accordance with law, within a week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the aforesaid submission, the criminal original petition is disposed of.
