O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Mandamus as against the 3rd respondent to conduct enquiry based on the petitioner's complaint dated 11.08.2025 to the 1st respondent and dispose of the same in compliance with the letter in No.40492/ R 1/2025 dated 12.09.2025 issued by the 2nd respondent within the period stipulated by this Court.

2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has given a complaint dated 11.08.2025 against one Vignesh Pandian, Sub Registrar, Ponnamaravathi Sub Registrar 2/6

Office, to investigate and take appropriate legal action. Since no action has been taken, the petitioner has approached this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, after taking instructions, would submit that the complaint of the petitioner has been received and the same was acted upon and therefore, no further order is necessary in this Writ Petition.

5. In reply, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that no statement was obtained from the petitioner.

6. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

7. The grievance of the petitioner is that though S.F.Nos. 596/5B and 596/6B contain residential houses, the same was registered as vacate land. Such being the case, it is upto the Department to inspect the property and in the event, if any house is situated, they have to redetermine the value and recover the deficit stamp duty. Therefore, there is no necessity to obtain any statement from the petitioner. The 3/6

petitioner's complaint is treated only piece of information and based on the complaint, the petitioner cannot insist upon to take any action. Once if any complaint is brought to the knowledge of the respondents Department, necessary action will be taken as against the the concerned officer based on the said complaint.

Therefore, recording the statement of the learned Government Advocate that the petitioner's complaint has been acted upon, this Writ Petition is closed as no further orders are necessary in this Writ Petition.
