By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has filed this petition seeking permission and police protection to conduct Kabadi Tournament on 06.02.2021 and 07.02.2021 at Parvathiamman Kovil Thidal, Surandai, Veerakeralampudur Taluk, Tenkasi District.

3. Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor who accepts notice for the respondents, on instructions, would contend that the petitioner's representation dated 02.01.2021 was rejected by the first respondent citing the present Covid-19 pandemic situation. However, he would submit that since certain relaxations are made by the Government in the subsequent Government Orders, they are ready to consider the fresh representation, if submitted by the petitioner.

WP(MD)No.1599 of 2021 4.Considering the said submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner, if so advised, can file a fresh petition before the respondents and on receipt of the same, the respondents shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.

5.With the above observation, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
