ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who is arrayed as A1 apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under section 174(3) Cr.P.C @ 306 IPC, in Crime No.41 of 2023 on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail. 1/3

2.The case of the prosecution, as per the de-facto complainant's version is that her elder daughter Avanthika was married to one Ramachandran, on 08/02/2022. Ramachandran is working in CRPF, Assam. After marriage, there was no cordial relationship. Because of some physical problem, Avanthika did not conceive. One Suriya Prakesh, the brother of Avanthika, died due to electric shock. For attending the above said funeral, Ramachandram came to the village on leave. On 04/02/2023 at about 09.00 am, Avanthika said to have enquired Ramachandran as to why he is not speaking with her. At that time, there was quarrel between them. Avanthika was assaulted by Ramachandran. Because of the above said assault and humiliation, Avanthika consumed pesticides. She was taken to the Government Hospital,Uthamapalayam, later to the Government Medical College Hospital, Theni, where she was admitted as inpatient and later died. Initially, the case was registered under section 174(3) Cr.P.C and later, altered to section 306 IPC.

3. Earlier anticipatory bail applications filed by the petitioner along with coaccused was dismissed by this Court.

4. Considering the grievous nature of allegations that are made against the 2/3

petitioner and also considering that there is no change of circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
