O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.) This Habeus Corpus Petition has been filed to direct the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to secure and produce the body or person of the detenue namely P.Divya, D/o.Perumal, aged 18 years and produce her before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. The petitioner is the mother of the detenu. While being so, on 05.01.2026 the missing person/detenue went to college but she did not return back to home. Therefore the petitioner lodged complaint before the second respondent. Based on which the second respondent registered a case in Crime No.5 of 2026 under 'Woman Missing' . During investigation the second respondent found that the victim girl/missing person eloped with one Balamurugan and they are now in Ooty, however the second respondent was unable to trace out the call details records.

3. Admittedly the detenue/missing person is aged about 18 years and she is a major. As of now she is not under illegal detention of any one.

4. In view of the same, the Habeus Corpus Petition stands dismissed. However the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file final report in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order [G.K.I., J.] [R.P., J.] 22.01.2026 NCC: Yes/No Index: Yes/No aav To
