ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a direction, directing the first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 02.12.2024, seeking appointment of the petitioner's village peoples as trustees for Pasiamman Temple situated at Pasipattinam Village, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. The petitioner is residing in Pasipattinam Village, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District and there is a temple called Arulmighu Pasiamman Temple, which is under the control of the Sivagangai Samasthanam. Therefore, the petitioner made request to appoint any of the villager as hereditary Trustee of the temple.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, would submit that though the temple is under the supervision of the first respondent, this temple is owned and administrated by the Sivagangai 2/4

Samasthanam and the only hereditary trustee is the Queen of Sivagangai Samasthanam, as appointed by this Court.

5. Therefore, there is no one is eligible for appointment of the petitioner's village people as trustee and the representation submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered and the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed.
