By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2.Heard the learned counsels on either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record.

3.This writ petition is filed seeking to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2024 and thereby pass appropriate orders directing them to disburse the amount to which the petitioner is entitled to for the completed contract works of the Madurai Corporation.

4.The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent corporation on instructions submitted that already a part of the amount to which the petitioner is entitled to has been settled and they will need another eight weeks for settling the remaining amount.

5.Recording the said submissions, this Court hereby direct the respondent corporation to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2024 and settle the balance amount within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and any 2/4

delay thereafter will make the petitioner to be paid with 7.5% interest thereon.

6.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to the costs.
