PRAYER :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the rejection order passed by the 4th Respondent in respect of the Petitioner's application for issuance of Legal Heir Certificate bearing Application No. TN-7202511271013, dated 27.11.2025, quash the same as illegal and arbitrary and consequently direct the 3 and 4 Respondents to issue the Legal Heir Certificate to the Petitioner.

ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed challenging the online rejection order of the application of the writ petitioner seeking for a legal heir certificate for the death of her mother.
2. A perusal of the impugned order reveals that no reasons have been assigned for rejection of the request of the writ petitioner.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that a civil dispute is pending between the petitioner's sister and the 2/5
Revenue Inspector's wife and therefore, due to the biased report submitted by the fourth respondent, the third respondent passed the impugned order.
4. Even though the writ petition has been filed as if the order has been passed by the fourth respondent, a perusal of the records reveal that the order has been passed only by the third respondent.
5. In view of the above, the impugned order in the writ petition is set aside and remitted back to the file of the third respondent and third respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of . No Costs.
