1383/2011 on the file of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (3rd Additional District and Sessions Judge (Full-charge), Tirunelveli, pending disposal of the above CMA.(MD).No.875/2013. ORDER : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S. T.SELVAKUMARAN, Advocate for the petitioner and of M/S.P.PRABHAKARAN, Advocate on behalf of the Sole Respondent the Court made the following order:- This is an application taken out by the claimants to permit them to withdraw 50% of the amount of compensation awarded by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal-cum-IIIrd Additional District Court, Tirunelveli, in MCOP.No.1383 of 2011.

2.The Tribunal awarded a sum of Rs.15,40,000/- with interest at 8% from the date of presentation of the petition. The petitioners be permitted to withdraw 50% of the amount of compensation awarded, while the remaining 50% shall be confined to an interest bearing Fixed Deposit Receipt for a period of three years renewable by similar period till such time the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal gets decided.
