ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to disburse the compensation amount immediately under the scheme of Tamil Nadu Government Road Accident Relief Fund for the death due to the road accident of the petitioner's son Praveen Kumar on 22.12.2024 based on the instruction order given by the 1st respondent in letter No.2171/Po.Va.4/2025-1 dated 17.04.2025 to the 2nd respondent within the time frame may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner made a representation to the respondents seeking compensation under the scheme of Tamil Nadu Government Road 2/5

Accident Relief Fund for the death due to the road accident of the petitioner's son Praveen Kumar on 22.12.2024. However, since the said representation has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents would submit that on considering the representation of the petitioner, necessary orders would be passed.

Considering the said submission made, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.04.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
