O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take necessary action to conclude the proceedings in Moo.Mu.A4/5006/2025, dated 17.12.2025, by following the principles of natural justice, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner is the power agent in respect of the properties in Survey No.242/2, measuring an extent of 7.36 Acres, Survey No.243, measuring an extent of 3.70 Acres; Survey No.244, measuring an extent of 1.87 Acres, Survey No.245, measuring an extent of 4.90 Acres and Survey No.246/2, measuring an extent of 4.35 Acres, situated at Keelakarai Group Village, Keelakarai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District. However, the patta was wrongly issued in the names of third parties. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation to the first respondent.

4. The first respondent has taken the representation on file in Moo.Mu.A4/5006/2025 dated 17.12.2025 and directed the second respondent to conduct a survey and send a detailed report. However, the second respondent has not sent any report and therefore, the petitioner's representation remains pending. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the second respondent has already sent a report to the first respondent and that the first respondent would conclude the proceedings within a period of twelve weeks.

6. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to conclude the proceedings in Moo.Mu.A4/5006/2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent is also directed to afford a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision before passing Page No. 3 of 5

any order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to pursue their remedies before the competent Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
