Pathukappu Thittam" to the petitioner on account of death of her husband by considering her representation dated 10.12.2020 within a time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to provide financial assistance to the petitioner under the Chief Minister's "Uzhavar Pathukappu Thittam" on account of death of her husband by considering her representation dated 10.12.2020.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader had produced the written instructions received from the third respondent. On going through the same, it is seen that for giving assistance under the concerned Scheme, the husband of the petitioner should have been a farmer or an agricultural coolie. However, none of this criteria was fulfilled and the petitioner is doing some cloth business. Her husband was a mason and he was also involved in peedi rolling works.

3. In view of the same, the petitioner was not found eligible under the Scheme. The same was also informed to the petitioner. It is also mentioned that the petitioner is being paid destitute widow pension every month.

4. Recording the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
