Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to consider and dispose the representation dated 03.01.2022 within the stipulated period.

ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner seeks cancellation of the fifth respondent's patta. According to the petitioner, an error took place during UDR. The District Revenue Officer, Virudhunagar is the authority competent to go into the issue.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents 6 and 7 states that the petitioner's objection has no merit. 2/4

4.I do not want to enter into any factual aspects. The petitioner is permitted to submit a fresh petition before the second respondent. It is well settled that for entertaining revision petition regarding UDR error, there is no limitation. As and when the same is filed, it shall be disposed of on merits and in accordance with law by the second respondent within a period of twelve weeks thereafter. The interested parties including the private respondents herein will have to be necessarily heard before the final order is passed. Due opportunity shall be given to all the interested persons. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. It is for the second respondent to pass order one way or the other. 5.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
