ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who is the sole accused, apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC in Crime No.780 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner on giving a false promise of getting job in Collectorate Office a6nd Electricity Department, received a sum of Rs.3,90,000/- from the de facto complainant and his brother Mathankumar and hence, a case has been registered against the petitioner.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the the petitioner is working as a Clerk in Taluk Office, Theni and he did not receive any amount from the de facto complainant. He further submitted that the de facto complainant, who is a Personal Assistant of Member of Parliament used to visit Taluk Office, while so, the petitioner refused to do some work in favour of the de facto complainant and hence, a false complaint has been registered against the petitioner. He further submitted that the petitioner is innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the petitioner has received a sum of Rs.3,90,000/- on giving a false promise of getting job in Collectorate and Electricity Department https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
and cheated him. He further submitted that the investigation of the case is pending.
5. Considering the nature of charges levelled against the petitioner and also the fact that this is a matter of job rocketing, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
