This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.12.2023, to record the petitioner's name in chitta and other revenue records in Survey No.597/5, Keelpaguthi Revenue Village, Kuzhithalai Taluk, Karur District, as per Durgas Patta No. 678/1989.
2. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. According to the petitioner, he has approached the Revenue Divisional Officer and the District Collector, Karur for entering his name in Patta No.678 of 1989. But no steps have been taken. Hence, the petitioner has given a representation dated 19.12.2023, to the respondents enclosing his previous application dated 31.07.2023. Since 2/5
the said representation has not been considered by the respondents, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

Considering the above said facts, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.12.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity to the parties concerned, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
