ORDER
Seeking transfer of investigation in Crime No.544 of 2022 from the file of the third respondent Police to the file of second respondent or any other agency, this criminal original petition is filed. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the third respondent police regarding theft of 132.5 sovereigns gold, following which, a first information report in Crime No.544 of 2022 was registered on 19.09.2022. However, so far, investigation has not been concluded. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate (crl.side), on instructions, submitted that the investigation is in progress. 4.Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

5.Considering the submissions made, this Court directs third respondent police to conclude the investiation in Crime No.544 of 2022 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second respondent police is directed to monitor the ongoing investigation which is being conducted by the third respondent. The third respondent police is also directed to appraise the progress of the investigation on every Friday, to the second respondent. 6.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
