ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report in Cr.No.791 of 2020 on the file of the first respondent Police.
2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would contend that now final report was filed and hence, nothing survives in this petition for further adjudication. However, he prayed for a direction to the trial Court to complete the trial within a time frame.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent also admitted that already charge sheet was filed. 4.In view of the above submissions and considering the date of FIR, it is appropriate to direct the trial Court to dispose the case within time frame. Accordingly, learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kuzhithurai is directed to dispose the case, as early as possible, preferably, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
5.In the result, this criminal original petition is dismissed with the above said directions.
