This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to appoint the petitioner as Village Assistant for Sivaganapuram Village, Tuticorin in pursuance of the notification issued by the 2nd respondent, dated 10.10.2022.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had participated in the selection process for the post of Village Assistant. However, her application was not disposed. The petitioner made a representation, dated 19.01.2023 seeking to appoint him as Village Assistant for Sivaganapuram Village and the same was not considered and hence, the present writ petition is filed with the aforesaid prayer.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 19.01.2023 within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court.
4. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 19.01.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 23.01.2023 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No NCC : Yes / No RM
