ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner for a direction directing the respondents to renew the firearm license of the petitioner on the application dated 01.12.2021. 2.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner submitted an application in the year 2021. Therefore, if the petitioner submits a fresh application for renewal of his license before the authority concerned, the same will be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

3.In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh application for renewal of his firearm licence before the second respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks thereafter.

4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
