Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to enquire the UDR correction made in the Survey Nos.2226, 2227, 2228 in Agaram Village, Dindigul West Taluk, Dindigul District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.12.2023.

ORDER

The Petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the second respondent to enquire the UDR correction made in the Survey Nos.2226, 2227, 2228 in Agaram Village, Dindigul West Taluk, Dindigul District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.12.2023.

2. Heard Mr.S.Sankar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Kannan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. By consent, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission itself.

4. According to the petitioner, he is having cultivation lands in Survey Nos.2226, 2227, 2228 in Agaram Village, Dindigul West Taluk, Dindigul District. Total extent of 2/4

3.08 hectors and patta also issued to him. In the said survey numbers, some other names were wrongly entered during UDR corrections. Therefore, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondents on 12.12.2023, but till date no action was taken by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the respondents are ready and willing to conduct an enquiry and dispose of the matter within a period of sixteen weeks.

6. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, considering the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 12.12.2023, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
