PRAYER: Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the respondents herein for their wilful disobedience of the order of this Court in W.P(MD) No.19286 of 2024, dated 01.10.2024.

ORDER

The present Contempt Petition has been filed alleging violation of the orders of this Court dated 01.10.2024 made in W.P(MD) No.19286 of 2024, wherein, this Court has directed the authorities to conduct an enquiry and pass orders on merits, and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks.

In compliance of the order of this Court, the fourth respondent in the writ petition has passed an order on 15.02.2025, wherein the authority has issued proceedings for disbursement of terminal benefits of the deceased employee, namely, P.Saravanan, equally to his three legal heirs, namely, his mother, son and daughter.

3. A perusal of the order further reveals that as and when the legal heirs produce the Pan Card, Aadhar Number and Bank Account details, their share would be disbursed.

4. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the one of the legal heirs, namely, the son has not submitted his details and therefore, the same should not be cited as a reason for delaying the release of the share of the petitioner.

5. In view of the above said facts, this Court finds that the orders of this Court has been complied with. The Contempt Petition stands closed with instructions to the authorities to disburse the respective shares each one of the legal heirs based upon the submission of their relevant records.
