2. Mr.A.Robinson, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) accepts notice for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the captain of Seven Diamonds Kabadi Team, Vadakku Kattur Village, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Trichy District and that the Kabadi Tournament is to be conducted from 20.02.2021 to 22.02.2021. His further contention is that he submitted a representation dated 21.01.2021 to the respondent police seeking permission to conduct the said tournament and so far, no permission has been accorded by the respondent police.

4. In the circumstances, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits in accordance with law as early as possible.

5. With the above observations, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
