ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 7 to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 20.12.2021, requesting the respondents to ensure availability of irrigation facility to the petitioner's land comprised in Patta No. 2264, Survey No. 94/3 to an extent of 1.87 Acres situated at Melakadayam Village, Thenkasi Taluk, Thenkasi District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.Mr.M.

Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, has placed before this Court a Status Report addressed to the Special Government Pleader by the fourth respondent stating that the petitioner's representation will be considered after conducting a joint land survey with the Revenue Department for the feasibility of bringing water through Savalaikaran Channel to the petitioner's land. The said Status Report addressed to the Special Government Pleader by the Executive Engineer is recorded. 3.Accordingly, this Court directs the respondents 1 to 7 to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 20.12.2021, requesting the respondents to ensure irrigation facility to the petitioner's land comprised in Patta No. 2264, Survey No. 94/3 to an extent of 1.

87 Acres situated at Melakadayam Village, Thenkasi Taluk, Thenkasi District and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and other necessary parties, if any. 4.With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
