ORDER

The petitioner before this Court is the author of the First Information Report in Crime No.43 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police, which was filed on 21.08.2015, as against three persons for the offences punishable under Sections 468, 471, 420 IPC. Though the case was registered as early as in the year 2015, final report has not been filed before the concerned Magistrate till date and therefore, the petitioner has filed the present petition seeking a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and to file the final report within a stipulated time limit.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that in view of the interim order of stay granted by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.12688 of 2016 dated 28.07.2016, filed by the accused, they have not proceeded with the investigation.

3. This Court, by order dated 08.04.2019, has vacated the interim order granted in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.12688 of 2016 and further directed the respondent police to proceed with the investigation in Crime No.43 of 2015 and complete the same.

4. Under such circumstances, this criminal original petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
