PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, directing the respondent to file the final report in Crime No.51 of 2019 dated 03.02.2019 on the file of the respondent within the time stipulated by this Court.

03.02.2019 on the file of the respondent within the stipulated period as fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner made a complaint against the accused persons before the respondent Police and the same was registered in Crime No.51 of 2019 for the offence punishable under Sections 465, 468, 471, 294(b) and 506(i) IPC. However, the respondent Police has not conducted the investigation in a proper manner. Since the complaint is pending from the year 2019 before the respondent Police, this Court may direct the respondent Police to file a final report within a stipulated period.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for ther respondent Police would submit that due to the stay granted by this Court in Crime No.51 of 2019, the respondent Police is unable to file a final report. However, the respondent Police will complete the investigation as soon as possible and file the final report before the concerned Court within a period of twelve weeks.

4. In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent Police to complete 2/4

the investigation in Crime No.51 of 2019 and file a final report or closure report before the concerned Court within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
