COMMON ORDER Crl.O.P.(MD)No.1545 of 2024 had been filed by the Petitioners to quash the impugned FIR in Cr.No.249 of 2017 on the file of the first Respondent.
2.Crl.O.P.(MD)No.1558 of 2024 had been filed by the Petitioner to quash the impugned FIR in Cr.No.250 of 2017 on the file of the first Respondent.
3.The learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioners in both cases submitted that the Petitioners in both cases are arrayed as accused in the respective cases in Cr.Nos.249 and 250 of 2017 pending on the file of the first Respondent. The learned Counsel also submitted that it is a case and counter. The parties are close relatives. Hence, subsequent to the registration of FIRs, they have decided to give a quietus to the animosity between them, which resulted in registration of cases against each other. Therefore, they have arrived at an amicable settlement. They had also filed 3/6
Joint Compromise Memos reporting settlement.
4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), on instructions from the first Respondent submitted that both parties had preferred a statement before the first Respondent that they wanted to give a quietus to the criminal cases pending against each other. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) also furnished the status report filed by the first Respondent. 5.Recording the status report filed by the first Respondent as well as the Compromise Memos filed by the parties concerned, these Criminal Original Petitions are allowed and the case in Cr.Nos.249 and 250 of 2017 pending on the file of the first Respondent are quashed.
