Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the second respondent to initiate an inquiry into the petitioner's Appeal Petition, dated 05.04.2023, and dispose of the same.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks limited relief of a writ of mandamus to direct the second respondent to dispose of the Appeal filed by the petitioner on 05.04.2023.

2. The appeal has been preferred, challenging the order of the Tahsildar, dated 03.03.2023.

3. Considering that the appeal is pending close to two years, I deem it fit to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the second respondent - Revenue Divisional Officer to decide the appeal of the petitioner on its own merit and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. Writ Petition is allowed accordingly. No costs. 04.02.2025 NCC :
