O R D E R

The petitioner School has filed this petition seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to approve forthwith the appointment of S.K.Ajesh as Office Assistant in the school with effect from 01.06.2022 with salary and all other attendant benefits.

2. The petitioner School has appointed one S.K.Ajesh as Office Assistant on 01.06.2022 in the vacancy that arose due to the retirement of one R.Rajendran. Subsequently, the petitioner School has submitted a proposal to the third respondent on 31.06.2022 for approval of appointment of S.K.Ajesh as Office Assistant. Since no orders were passed in the proposal, the petitioner School sent a remainder to the second respondent in this regard on 06.01.2024. However, till date, approval was not granted to the appointment of S.K.Ajesh as Office Assistant. Hence, the writ petition.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the proposal of the petitioner School dated 31.06.2022 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
