This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 08.12.2020 to survey the land in Survey No.77 to the extent of 77 acres purchased by the father of petitioner along with four others through a sale deed dated 17.03.1945 as per Peravurani Sub-registrar office Registered Document No.467/1945, which is part and parcel of Kuruvikarambai, Kallakaadu village in Peravurani and Taluk, Thanjavur District and issue a Patta in the name of father of the petitioner along with legal heirs of other purchasers.
2. When the matter was taken for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the property in question has been categorised as water body and hence, the request made by the petitioner cannot be considered.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he has already challenged the categorisation of the property as a water body and the same is pending before the concerned authority. 4.In view of the above development, it is left open to the petitioner to work out his remedy before the competent authority and no further orders can be passed in this writ petition. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
