ORDER

The present petition is filed to transfer the investigation of the case in Crime No.110 of 2017 from the third respondent to the second respondent.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents.

3. The essence of the allegation is that the petitioner's daughter, who was reading her second year graduation was found dead in the toilet of her college.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the death is unnatural and there is a hidden truth.

5. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor made available his status report and also a copy of the postmortem report. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

6. Since the body is now been disposed, there is no way to ascertain the correctness or otherwise of the autopsy report now made available. The postmortem report states that the girl could have died due to natural cause, fear anxiety or based on any previous medical causes. Inasmuch as the petitioner doubts the course of investigation now carried out, this Court directs the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tanjore to monitor the course of investigation. If the petitioner has any materials / information to share with the Deputy Superintendent of Police, she is at liberty to do the same and the Deputy Superintendent of Police is now required to overview the investigation and also ascertain the truth or otherwise of the materials to be placed by the petitioner and also required to ensure that the investigation is taken to its logical end.

7. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
