PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.482 of BNSS PRAYER :- To enlarge the petitioner / accused No.6 on anticipatory bail in C.C.NO.142 of 2023 on the file of the Special District Court for Communal Clash Cases, Madurai.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(C), 20(B)(II)B, 25 and 29(1) of NDPS Act, in Crime No.130 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner did not appear for trial on 30.09.2025. Hence, the Trial Court has issued a Non-Bailable Warrant against the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as 2/4

alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police submits that the petitioner has jumped bail. He further submits a non-bailable warrant was issued against the petitioner.

5. Considering the fact that the petitioner has jumped bail, this Court is directing the petitioner to surrender before the Special District Court for Communal Clash Cases, Madurai, and file a recall application. On such application, the concerned Court shall consider the same in accordance with law on merits on the same day.

6. With the above said directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed.
