ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to appoint Mr.G.J.Mathuram as learned Special Public Prosecutor in SPL.S.C.No.76/2012 on the file of the Hon'ble Sessions Court, (PCR), Karur, under Section 4(5) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Rules, 1995 and on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner dated 22.02.2018 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3.The petitioner herein made a representation before the respondent / District Collector, Karur, on 22.02.2018, to appoint Thiru.G.J.Mathuram as learned Special Public Prosecutor in SPL.S.C.No.76/2012, pending on the file of the Sessions Court (PCR), Special Court, Karur. Since no order has been passed, the petitioner has filed the present Criminal Original Petition with the aforesaid prayer.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent

filed a status report stating that the appointment sought by the petitioner was given vide proceedings in Rc.No.D2/3149/2018 dated 08.03.2018. The said proceedings was also communicated to the petitioner. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this petition becomes infructuous.

5. By accepting the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent in the status report, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
