ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction to issue a Death Certificate with respect to the father of the petitioner by name Patchaimal Thevar S/o.Ramasamy Thevar.

2. It is claimed by the petitioner that his father, had died on 07.06.2014 owing to ill health at the residence. Thereafter, the petitioner had not applied for Death Certificate. 1/3

When such request was made, it was informed that there are no records available by the third and fourth respondents. The petitioner had therefore given a representation on 17.12.2021.

3. Heard Mr.PNSSM..Ammaar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Kameswaran, learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents.

4. Let the third respondent/ the Tahsildar, Aandipatti Taluk Office, Theni District examine the representation given by the petitioner, issue notice to the petitioner and enquire with them relating to the circumstances of his father and thereafter pass necessary orders.

5. The entire initial enquiry by the third respondent should be completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, depending on the nature of the enquiry, further steps may be taken.

6. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
