ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences under section 379 of I.P.C., in Crime No.2 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

3. Eight units of river sand were stocked in a private land. The person managing the said land is said to have informed the local VAO. After due local enquiry, FIR was registered against the petitioner herein.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) points out that there are as many as 24 cases are against the petitioner. Out of them, eight cases pertain to sand theft.

5. Taking note of the bad antecedents of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant relief to the petitioner. The criminal original petition stands dismissed.
