PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Certiorari, to call for the records relating to the impugned notification issued by the first respondent dated 24.05.2013 published in the Gazette of India (S.O.1365E) on 24.05.2013 and the notification issued by the first respondent dated 21.05.2014 published in the Gazette of India (S.O.1338E) on 21.05.2014 and the consequential notification issued by the fourth respondent in Na.Ka.No.A/170/2020 dated 31.10.2020, and quash the same as illegal.

The subject matter of challenge in this Writ Petition pertains to the impugned notification issued by the first respondent dated 24.05.2013 published in the Gazette of India on 24.05.2013 and the notification issued by the first respondent dated 21.05.2014 published in the Gazette of India on 21.05.2014 and the consequential notification issued by the fourth respondent dated 31.10.2020.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the third respondent submitted that the very same notification became a subject matter of challenge in the connected Writ Petitions. When those Writ Petitions came up for hearing, it was brought to the notice of this Court that the acquisition proceedings have been withdrawn as the respondents have found alternative place. Recording the same, W.P.(MD).Nos.17268 of 2014, 18244 of 2014, 18247 of 2014, 18248 of 2014 and 18249 of 2014 were dismissed on 20.07.2023.
