O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to register a case on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 21.02.2018 and investigate the same within the time stipulated fixed by this Court.

2.Heard both sides.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the proposed accused is a black-mailer by profession and it is his usual practice. Thereby, he has committed an offence of extortion and cheating, which is punishable under Sections 420, 384 and 385 of IPC, but, so far, no case has been registered against the proposed accused.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that on receipt of the complaint, since the petitioner did not cooperate for the enquiry, enquiry is still pending. 5.By way of reply, the learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to co-operate with the enquiry properly. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

6.Considering the fact that the enquiry is pending and the undertaking given by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then, he has to register the case and proceed with the same in accordance with law, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
