This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner, wherein, the petitioner is seeking for adjustment of the auction amount with respect to the earlier contract period when the market was closed due to Covid-19 Pandemic, towards the fresh contract period granted from 01.04.2021 to 31.03.2022 or alternatively to get extension of contract for the further period of one year from the expiry of the fresh contract for collecting the toll in the weekly market in the Uppidamangalam Town Panchayat Karur District.

2. This writ petition was filed in the year 2021 and even if the period had been extended to the petitioner, it would have come to an end in March 2023. Hence, at this length of time the relief sought for by the petitioner does not survive. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
