ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner for granting appointment to the post of Driver or any other post.

2.The procedure for granting employment in the Government departments has been contemplated in the rules and regulations governing recruitment to the Government post and a mere representation stating that the petitioner has already enrolled himself in the District Employment Exchange and has participated in various weight lifting competitions in State level and District level, would not entitle him to seek for employment, bypassing the procedures laid down. As such, a direction to the respondents to consider the representation for appointment without following the procedures is impermissible in law.

3.In view of the above observations, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
