O R D E R

The quash petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to quash the the First Information Report in Crime No.331 of 2015 on the file of the first respondent.

2. It is seen that the alleged offence attributed against the petitioner is under Section 294(b), 153(A)(1)(a), 153(B)(1)(c), 295-A, 298, 505(1)(c) & 506(i) of the Indian Penal Code and 3(1)(x) of SC & ST Act - 1989 r/w 3(1)(r)(s) SC/ST Act (POA) Amendment Ordinance 2014 in Crime No.331 of 2015. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the petitioner and the second respondent appeared in person and their presence is also noted by this Court and the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent filed a memo of compromise stating that since the matter has been compromised, the second respondent agreed to withdraw the First Information Report in Crime No.331 of 2015 on the file of the first respondent.

3. Considering the nature of allegation and also considering the memo of compromise filed by the petitioner and the second respondent,

this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by allowing the trial to proceed with. Therefore, the the First Information Report in Crime No.331 of 2015 on the file of the first respondent police is hereby quashed and this Criminal Original Petition is allowed accordingly.
