Prayer: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.1779 of 2020 of Alanganallur Police Station to any other competent officer. For Petitioner : Mr.M.Jegadeeshpandian For Respondents : Mr.S.Chandrasekar Additional Public Prosecutor

ORDER

The present petition is filed seeking to transfer the investigation in Crime No.1779 of 2020 of Alanganallur Police Station to any other competent officer.

2.The main grievance of the petitioner is that though the accused are very much available in their respective houses, the Inspector of Police, Alanganallur Police Station, did not take any efforts to arrest them and that there is no progress at all in Crime No.1779 of 2020 of Alanganallur Police Station. 3.Mr.M.Jegadeeshpandian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, during the course of arguments, contended that though the petitioner has sought for a larger prayer seeking for a change of investigation from the file of the second respondent to any other competent officer, it would be sufficient if the investigation is being monitored by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Samayanallur, Madurai District.

4.Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, would submit that since certain allegations are levelled against the second respondent, the Deputy Superintendent of police, Samayanallur, may be directed to monitor the investigation. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
