ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records pertaining to the case in Crime No.8 of 2020 on the file of the first respondent herein and quash the same. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, there was no representation for the petitioners.

3. The case of the prosecution is that the marriage between the defacto complainant/second respondent and Govindaraj took place in the year 2008 and thereafter, due to family dispute they were living 1/3

separately. The defacto complainant was transferred to Pudukkottai and stayed with her mother at Police quarters and that the house of the petitioners is also situated nearby. The allegation is that the first petitioner has sexually harassed the defacto complainant for the past five years and also the petitioners abused the defacto complainant in filthy language. Hence, the complaint.

4. Heard, Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

5. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the investigation was completed and the final report was filed before the learned Additional Mahila Court, Pudukottai and the same was not taken on file so far.

6. In view of the above submission, nothing survives for further consideration in this matter. Further, the learned Additional Mahila Court, Pudukottai, is directed to look into the matter and process the same as expeditiously as possible.

7. With this direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
