ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner is arrayed as sole accused. He was arrested on 18.07.2017 pursuant to the order passed by the learned Sessions Judge, Mahalir Neethimandrum, Thanajvur, cancelling his bail. The case against him is for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 342, 352, 506(ii), 376 and 377 IPC, in Crime No.100 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police, now, pending in S.C.No.15 of 2017, on the file of the Mahila Court (Fast Track Mahila Court), Thanjavur. He seeks bail.

2.The petitioner is facing trial in S.C.No.15 of 2017 on the file of the Mahila Court [Fast Track Mahila Court], Thanjavur. The major offences with which, the petitioner is charged are Sections 376 and 377 IPC. The petitioner was originally arrested on 31.08.2015 and granted bail on 23.12.2015. Since he absconded, nonbailable warrant was issued and he was re-arrested on 18.07.2017. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that considering the long period of incarceration of the petitioner, he can be granted bail on stringent conditions. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the State submitted that the petitioner is facing another case in

Crime No.88 of 2017 on the file of the Boothaloor Police Station, Thanjavur, for the offences punishable under Sections 448, 376, 511 and 307 IPC.

5.Considering the act of abscondness on the part of the petitioner and his implication in a similar case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to him. No case is made out for showing any indulgence to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
