ORDER

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.A.Balakrishnan and Mr.N.Satheesh Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

2. The petitioner questions an order dated 26.11.2021 issued by the respondent herein in response to an application given by the petitioner to renew the period of notary for a further period of five (5) years from 23.04.2022.

3. However, a perusal of the impugned order reveals that it had been mentioned that the certificate of practice of the petitioner is to expire on 22.04.2022. The renewal application has to be forwarded in proper form on or before 22.04.2022. It had been stated that, in the application for renewal submitted on 23.10.2021, it had been wrongly specified as 23.10.2021 instead of specifying 23.04.2017.

4. I understand that the above is a little confusing. But, I am confident that the petitioner will be able to understand that it all relates to his own details as to when the certificate of practice is due to expire. If he had mistakenly given any wrong details in his application regarding the period, let him correct the same and give a fresh application to the respondent. A corrected application may be given within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter, the respondent may examine the same and pass necessary orders within a further period of eight (8) weeks.

5. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition stands closed.
